The Dixon Family Reunion, July 23, 2011

Carolyn and Tommy always have a 4th of July party. All of us are invited to this every year. Tommy is a fantastic chef with the bar-b-cue that he prepares each year. I am sure he could win the Memphis in May contest if he ever decided to enter.

This year David William made a trip back here to get his son, David, Jr. (Davy or "D") set up to go to college in August at Harding University in Searcy, AR. He hadn't been in for five years, so we all wanted to get together to see him. So....... Carolyn and Tommy, being the gracious hosts that they are, had another huge bar-b-cue at their house, and those of us who could made it down for a reunion.

From left to right....Kalie (Linda Carol's granddaughter), Linda Carol, "D" (David's son), David William, Carolyn, Pee Wee, Violet, Harold Lee, Micah, Tommy, and Dixon.

David's RV parked next to Tommy and Carolyn's house.

Tommy's army transport truck. They have a big weinie roast at the back pond every October and use this and the John Deere train to haul people back there.
This past October the party was celebrating Tommy's retirement.

"D" and Zach (Micah's son) just waiting for lunch to be served.

Great reader! Great smile! Great kid!

Just hanging around

Linda Carol, Mike Musick (a friend from high school in Portageville), David, and "D"

Autumn Mallory and Zachary Morgan Casey (Micah and Patrick's children)

Keepin' coo' in the poo'. (Some people in Mississippi are "L" impaired.)

Riding around the farm

I'm like Minnie Pearl...."Just so proud to be here."

Tommy is always the leader and makes sure everyone has a great time.

What a nice set-up! Tommy restores old John Deere tractors.

"I must relax before I start college."

Tommy made a zip-line for everyone to enjoy who is brave enough to try.

Like father, like son.

Tommy is the pro, of course.

I'm out of focus, but I wanted proof for posterity.

Caleb liked it quite a lot, also.
Also, like father, like son.
